FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is
Bredin Institute?
Bredin Institute - Centre for Learning is
a non-profit organization that has been serving Albertans in the areas
of employment readiness and training for over 30 years.
What
can Bredin Institute do for me?
Without
employers, our clients can’t be successful. Employers are the key to
successful completion of any of our programs whether it be employment
readiness, occupational training, or immigrant services – the end goal
is the same for all….employment.
In
today’s labour market, employers are struggling to find reliable staff.
The critical shortages have cost many organizations contracts, business
opportunities, and ultimately profits. Working together with Bredin, we
can find an individual who has the skills and ability you are looking
for. Individual attention to your needs and a focus on connecting our
clients with reputable employers makes a relationship with us win-win!
Does it
cost me anything to be involved with Bredin Institute?
No, our
programs are funded by either the Federal or Provincial government and
come at no cost to our clients or the employers we work with.
What if
I hire someone from one of your programs and don’t like them? Am I
obligated to keep them?
You are
certainly not obligated to keep one of our clients on if you are not
happy with their performance. But before you make the decision to
terminate their employment, maybe we can help. With many qualified
employment counselors and employment developers on staff, we would be
happy to participate in any joint efforts to overcome issues that arise
– we would like to see our clients remain employed.
We have
years of experience in this area, and have found that clear and open
communication can address and resolve issues before they get out of
hand. We hope that our relationship with your organization doesn’t end
when you hire one of our clients!
