ELIGIBILITY AND INTAKE PROCESS

Any internationally trained individual seeking employment related to their professional qualifications may be eligible for the Centre for Skilled and Internationally Trained Professionals work search program.

Call our downtown office at (780) 425-3730 and register for an Orientation Session where you will have the opportunity to meet with staff and review services and supports provided.  At this time, a one-on-one appointment will be scheduled with a Bredin Institute staff member to review your program eligibility and define a plan of action for achieving a successful transition into your field of expertise.

Program staff requests that you bring the following supporting documents to your one-on-one appointment:

·         Evidence of eligibility to work in Canada (Permanent Residence Card, Work Visa, Landing Papers or Canadian Citizenship)

·         Original Post-Secondary Degrees and Transcripts (from education outside of Canada)

·         Social Insurance Number Card

·         Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment or equivalent language proficiency examination results

It is also recommended that you bring any other documentation that you believe would be important in the development of your action plan.  This could include other assessments, evaluation of credentials, local training, a resume, any correspondence with professional associations, etc.
