CREATING PROFESSIONAL WORKSEARCH TOOLS

An effective career search must entail many proven practices.  Each part of your career search “toolkit” must be worked on, researched and revised continually as you strive towards your goal of success.

With the Bredin Institute we know that our workshops enable our clients to effectively take control of their career search here in Alberta.  Creating an effective resume, curriculum vitae and cover letter that links achievements to prior work responsibilities is vital in getting yourself looked at by the company for the interview process.

Effectively answering “behaviour – based” questions are essential in your goal accomplishment especially during the interview process.  With your previous research on the company you have applied for means that accessing the Hidden Job Market by making Cold Calls to prospective employers is made that much easier.  What do you do when the voice on the other line says “No”?  There are techniques you can use – all of which will be taught during your workshops.

You cannot do just one aspect of the career search alone – you must use all the tools available to you in order to market yourself effectively.  The professional worksearch tools available for you at the Bredin Institute will positively affect your career search.
