FUNDING OPTIONS

English as a Second Language courses do not have to be a financial burden.  There are funding options that may be available in the form of loans, bursaries and grants or awards and scholarships.

Eligibility criteria varies depending on the type of assistance applied for, but in general, students are usually required to demonstrate financial need (by providing income information), and must be a resident of Alberta (have lived in the province for at least three months).  Because funding available is dependent on so many individual factors (institution chosen, family income and size, program length and cost, etc.), it is recommended that once the student has decided upon an institution, to approach the Student Finance Office for more specific information about funding options.
