Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB)

online assessment that provides CLB benchmark results in each of four
skill areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking. This
assessment is designed with the purpose of providing immigrants and
prospective immigrants with the option of self-assessment of their
second language proficiency in English and French. It will allow them
to be more informed about their decisions regarding employment, access
to professions and trades, further education and training and
immigration and integration into Canadian society.
Nursing Professions
Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses (CELBAN) is
the only English language assessment designed specifically for
internationally educated Nurse’s English language proficiency in four
skills: listening, speaking, writing and reading. This on-line
assessment is designed to help

Language Benchmarks level to be used as an official score. The CELBAN
Readiness Self-Assessment is designed to give you an idea of your
readiness to take the CELBAN. Prior to taking the self-assessment, you

International Medical Graduates (IMG’s)
In an effort to assist international medical graduates (IMG’s) in
assessing their knowledge, options and basic readiness before coming to
Canada for training or other clinical experiences and integrating into
the Canadian workforce, the Medical Council of Canada has introduced its
Self-Assessment Evaluation Examination (SAFE):

The Self-Assessment Evaluating Examination (SAEE) is a
multiple-choice question practice examination. It is provided solely as
a sample of the type and style of multiple-choice questions that may be
found in the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination (MCCEE)
and is intended to be a study aid to help participants prepare
themselves for the MCCEE.
It is intended solely for graduates of international medical schools who
would like to test their preparedness for taking the Medical Council of
Canada Evaluating Examination.
