ELIGIBILITY AND ADMISSION PROCESS

 

Eligibility

 

Any internationally trained Pharmacist that has the following credentials may be eligible to apply:

 

·         Landed immigrant status/permanent residence

·         Pharmacy degree from a university recognized by the Pharmacy Examination Board of Canada (PEBC)

·         Successfully completed the PEBC Evaluating Examination

·         Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment scores of 7 in 4 key areas or has an Alberta College of Pharmacists approved language proficiency test

·         Intern registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacists

 

In addition, program administrators also consider the following qualifications desirable:

 

·         Passed the PEBC Qualification Examination Part I

·         Canadian work experience

·         Awareness of the Pharmacy Code of Ethics

Applicant Admission Process

 

The International Pharmacy Bridging Program candidate assessment process has 2 stages.

 

Stage 1

Applications are reviewed and assessed to ensure completeness and candidate eligibility.

 

Stage 2

Eligible candidates are invited to interview.  Acceptance packages are mailed to successful individuals.  Candidates must accept their position in writing, prior to application for grant funding or employer sponsorship.
